For all the Mothers, Godmothers, Aunts, Great Aunts and Grandmas in our hearts|
This page is dedicated to you!
|Only One Mother|
Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of lambs in the sunny weather.
Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the world wide over.
|Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever
|The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness.|
Honore de Balzac, author
|The mother's heart is the child's schoolroom|
Henry Ward Beecher, US Congressional clergyman
|Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother.|
Lin Yutang, Chinese writer
|Making a decision to have a child--it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.|
|A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie|
|Whatever else is unsure in this stinking dunghill of a world a mother's love is not
|There is only one pretty child in the world, and every mother has it|
|God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers|
|A Godmother is a gift|
sent from heaven above
bringing kisses and hugs
and never ending love
|I want you to know how lucky I feel|
to have a Godmother like you.
Someone who always loves me
no matter what I do.
When I think of you I count my blessings,
and thank the Lord above,
that I have you for my Godmother,
because Godmothers are chosen with love.
|Long ago when I was born a choice was made for me,|
how could I have ever known what a blessing this would be?
The day that you were chosen, I was blessed from up above,
God sent to me His blessings, when he sent to me your love.
I'm so grateful you have been there to guide me through each year,
you gave me precious memories that I hold very dear.
|"Only an Aunt...|
can give hugs
like a mother,
can keep secrets like a sister,
and share love like a friend."
| As I count my blessings, I can't help but think of you|
Dear to me in childhood years and all my whole life through.
Everything seems sweeter just in knowing that you're there.
Always feeling you're sincere in showing that you care.
Remember all the times we shared so many days in laughter?
A fairy tale of never ending happily ever after.
Understanding comes so easy it's a mystery.
No one else can share my thoughts you think the same as me.
Together on the family tree we make a perfect pair . . .
We're blessed with a relationship so precious and so rare.

|Grandmas (here & in Heaven)|
|What could be more precious
than Grandma's special love?|
She always seems to know the things
That we are fondest of.
She's always ready with a smile
Or a loving word of praise,
Her laughter always brightens up The cloudiest of days...
She has an understanding heart
that encourages and cheers.
The love she gives so freely
Grows deeper with the years.
Her wisdom and devotion
are blessings from above-
Nothing could be more precious than Grandma's special love.
|I like to walk with Grandma,
Her steps are short like mine.|
She doesn't say "Now hurry up",
She always takes her time.
I like to walk with Grandma,
Her eyes see things like mine do,
Wee pebbles bright, a funny cloud,
half hidden drops of dew.
Most people have to hurry,
They do not stop to see,
I'm glad that God made Grandma
Unrushed and young like me!
Dear Angel ever at my side,
how lovely you must be---
To leave your home in heaven,
to guard a child like me.
When I'm far away from home,
or maybe hard at play--
I know you will protect me,
from harm along the way.
Your beautiful and shining face,
I see not, though you're near.
The sweetness of your lovely voice,
I cannot really hear.
When I pray, you're praying too,
Your prayer is just for me.
But ,when I sleep you never do,
You're watching over me.
